KOMPERDELL is an Austrian company founded in 1928 in Vienna. Its specialty is trekking poles and ski poles. The company made history with the first, very light and durable bamboo pole (1939) and the first pole with a metal profile (1948). In 1956 at the Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Toni Sailer won in downhill, slalom, and giant slalom using KOMPERDELL's steel poles. After this fact, sales grew dynamically and the company gained the highest recognition on the market. In the nineties, the company introduced ultra-light and durable products made of Carbon and Titinal, which revolutionized the view on the subject of ski and trekking poles. KOMPERDELL produces two-part poles characterized by better durability and lighter and shorter when folded, three-part poles. The KOMPERDELL pole offer also includes excellent two-part ski touring poles. Currently, the KOMPERDELL company has its factory in Austrian Mondsee and still produces the best poles in the world for tourists and skiers.
